For Te Ara Whiriwhiri – Our unity is our backbone to deliver health to our people
Te Ara Whiriwhiri is the Counties Manukau Māori Mental Health & Addictions Network and is representative of the Kaupapa Maori providers in the Mental Health and Addictions sector in Counties Manukau
It was developed as a mechanism for Māori Mental Health and Addiction providers to input into the development of Māori Mental Health initiatives in an effective, collaborative and pro-active manner.
Counties Manukau Mental Health and Addiction Providers (CHAMP) and Te Ara Whiriwhiri are working in partnership to affect the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi across the Mental Health and Addictions Continuum in Counties Manukau, putting life to their commitment to the Treaty since their inception in 2013.
The overall goal is to assist Tangata Whaiora and their Whanau to achieve Whanau Ora, in a way that is most ideal for them.
